According to MBB’s website, “Medical Business Bureau” is a 100% focused on the healthcare industry. It provides cost-effective revenue recovery solutions to hospitals, doctors, medical practices and billing companies for hospitals, physicians and other healthcare-related specialties. MBB also cites its ability to adapt to the rapid changes in the medical profession, which was enabled by its primary goal to provide “strategic value to our clients through superior customer service and best in-class revenue cycle management services.”

MBB’s Compliance page reveals that Medical Business Bureau was involved in the initial implementation of the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act. They also produced HIPAA agreements. Their Consumer Resources page aims to help consumers understand why a particular service was rendered, and why…insurance didn’t pay what they thought it should. However, it doesn’t contain links to any consumer protection laws, agencies or resources related to debt collection.

What are the complaints against Medical Business Bureau – MBB?

In the last three years, the BBB has received 66 complaints about Medical Business Bureau. Twenty of these were closed within the past 12 months.
